  1. Add the ability to email or download a calendar entry

    Allow providing a link in a wedding website to an ICS file that would allow me to add the wedding date to my personal calendar with ease.
    PS Safari informs me that the certificate for this site/page is invalid.

    • Give more information on all inclusive venues

      It was hard to figure out what to budget for each category when my venue was all inclusive (food, open bar, flower, dj, cake, decorations). this also made it difficult to answer survey questions accurately.

      • Why does it take 30 days to remove websIte from search engine. Change default to private. What a joke.

        Why is someone's wedding plans default to public. For general public to search it. Invasion of privacy. Should change default to private. And have to click to make it public to search engines.

          Hello,
          I have just seen my best friend created an app from a app called 'Appy Couple' and my idea is to transfer the site I have already created on The Knot into a mobile app.
          I have no idea if that is a feasible thing to do for you but it would be awesome to be able to offer not only a free website, but a way to have it as an app seamlessly. The app she showed me, offered more choices on the RSVP front so I suggest for you to have a look at it.

            1) separate the addresses into separate fields:

            Address 1
            Address 2
            City, State, Zip code

            this will allow the export to excel be smoother for making mail mergers

            2) Once you assign a head of household, make it so you can add another member to the household in succession (such as their dependents or spouse). Have the last name, home address information pull over from the previous entry so all you would need to add is their first name.

              • Wedding website is super slow

                Your wedding website is SUPER SLOW. I also wish it was more customizable (ability to select text, create your own banner, background color, drag and drop, etc.) It's not terribly intuitive, so it's been a really frustrating experience trying to set it up.:(

                    I will be a guest for a wedding and am looking forward to the event and seeing the venue which looks lovely. However the write up leaves some room for improvement. The grammar, sentence structure and proper word choices need attention if you wish to present a professional appearance. The bride and groom, as well as their families are well educated and I can imagine that they cringed as much as I did! Nonetheless, looking forward to the event!

I want to check these items off because they are done and I have someone to DJ that is local and isn't on the knot vendors and shouldn't have to be to be able to check the item off my checklist! So frustrating, and I have just started putting someone random in because it won't let me save the actual person because they aren't in the system.

                          It would be quite helpful if I could sort, export, or view as a table all the gifts we've received from in our newlywed fund. Currently they are not sorted in any particular way and so we have to check the whole list multiple times to ensure we've sent thank you notes to everyone. Thanks for helping!

                            I really appreciate you taking time to send us this feedback. We are continually looking at ways we can make the Newlywed Fund more user friendly and this suggestion is definitely on our list.

                            We should be able to choose from an actual font size to dictate sizes throughout the customized wedding website – using a slider to adjust the sizes mean that we must guess, and the text looks sloppy, since there's seemingly no way to match up font sizes. I also don't like that capitalization is removed; that should be a choice and not a forced default. I'm putting effort into making this website both attractive and helpful, and the settings in place mean that there are elements that look like errors for those of us wanting something grammatically and stylistically correct.

                              I wish you could submit your real wedding yourself instead of having your photographer do it for you. They are so extremely busy its hard to get them to do it without charging me and I really wanted to share my day with you.

                              • Gendered language in registry survey

                                Hello,
                                This note is in response to a survey I received via email titled "What were your wedding registry essentials? Tell us!"

                                I would like to register my disgust at the hetero-normative language that was used throughout this survey. I have accepted that 99% of the photos on the Knot feature a heterosexual couple (the vast majority of those being white too) and understand that there are fewer LGBT weddings occurring across the country. It has made me feel marginalized in my own wedding planning, but I understood and accepted it.

                                  Thank you. Not only for taking time out of your day to send this very important note, but for calling this out to us at all. We are definitely trying to make strides on our site so that all couples feel welcome and valued at The Knot. We just have a few areas that are either being overlooked or that haven’t had the full update yet. This is definitely one of them.

                                  I have already sent your feedback along to our Research and Marketing teams so we can make sure this is quickly on our priority list. I am very sorry you did not feel welcomed by our site when taking this quiz – that you felt we did not value you as a couple and that we did not value this enough to have made this change earlier. Thank you, again, for giving us an opportunity to see this…

                                • Not of fan of the "contact 5 additional vendors" feature

                                  I have been very careful to make sure I am not checking the box that sends me quotes from "5 similar vendors." Yet, somehow I keep getting messages from vendors I did not wish to speak with. This has happened over and over. I am only one month in to planning and that "feature" is causing me more headache. I am getting bombarded with emails from unwanted vendors. And they are rarely actually "similar" to what I selected anyway. Vendors from outside my location I set, it's truly ridiculous. For brides who really are trying to plan their whole wedding…

                                    We are really close on having this go away and a new portal will be launched so you can more accurately track your interactions with your vendors. We appreciate your feedback and definitely have heard this from others as well.

                                    • Knot DB/UI Updates

                                      Whatever updates you are making behind the scenes are being implemented too quickly and before proper testing has been done. Your app and website is almost unusable at times giving so many errors. Also you are phasing out old UI's and replacing them with new versions that have half of the capability.

                                      When people begin to lose faith in your services you will start to lose your user base. These are peoples weddings, they are stressful enough without having to worry about a site you sent 100's of your guests a link to....

                                        I really am glad you took the time to send us a note. We are definitely making some great changes around here – all the time – and yet, we want our product to work well for everyone. I can tell you, as you have likely guessed, the error you sent over will be fixed when you clear your cache/cookies. As someone working on their wedding website, you the Admin, are going to run into this much more often than a guest will when they just visit your website URL.

                                        I always suggest to our couples that they clear cache/cookies weekly when in the busy time of planning their wedding. While this might seem like a lot, it will keep the pages clear and clean for you. I also would want to suggest that you use one browser brand for your Admin work and another browser brand to test…

                                      • Add a feature so a vistor to website can text message the site to their phone

                                        There should be a button or feature on the personalized sites so vistors can text message a short link to their cell phones for easy retrieval.

                                        • I'm unhappy with my photo being stretched on the desk top version, but fine on the phone version. Please use the same proportions for both!

                                          Please use the same proportion for the main photos between the desktop version (super stretched out - width wise) and the phone version. Or allow us to upload a "banner" type photo along with a main photo. I don't like to see myself and my fiance all stretched out like that!
