Allow for flexible "Find my invitation" searching
AFAIK, there are currently two options when allowing guests to RSVP - secure and unsecure.
If I choose unsecure, then if a guest named "Michael Smith" searches for his invitation as "Mike Smith", it will create a new guest.
If I choose secure RSVP, the above scenario would result in the guest being alerted that their invitation couldn't be found.
It would be great if you could "search" for an invitation by simply supplying a last name and allowing the user to select the relevant invitation. I understand there are potential privacy concerns, but it could easily be a configurable setting. I'm personally not concerned about someone searching and seeing which other people might or might not be invited.
Hi and thank you so much for your idea!
We will definitely take this into consideration. We’re always trying to improve the Wedding Website experience for couples so we welcome all of your great ideas.
We will keep this forum updated as we make improvements!
Enjoy your planning!
REALLY need to fix your guest list invitations.
1) You need to have the option of adding the number of guests you want under one person (Ie. John Smith - 4 invites). So people can accommodate John Smith and his family of 4 including his wife and 2 kids.
2) You need to be able to have you search just the first name or part of a name to find you invitation. Its ridiculous to type your name exactly, as some spellings may be different.
3) Learn from the minted.com guest invitation. Its much simpler and easier to use.
Please accommodate this ASAP.
Has this issue of "strict search only" been resolved? I will be using another website if not as I don't want my guest's frustrated by the RSVP feature!
