Why can't I add my own custom to-do items to the checklist?
It would be very helpful to be able to type in my own unique tasks to add to the checklist rather than choosing from your predetermined items.

The notes field in the timeline section does not allow for spacing. This field should allow text formatting so that the notes can be clear and separated out. For example, it's suggested to put the procession order as a note, but it makes you put it in paragraph form with no line spacing option. Being able to add line spacing, bullets, bold, italics, etc. would be helpful. I ended up not being able to use this feature due to the limitations.

The top of your checklist states "Good morning and congratulations bride-to-be!"
It would be nice if you did not make the assumption that a/the woman is the one doing the planning.
that's not Rocket Scientist material - they never thought about this in how many years????

A separate category such as "Other" or "Misc" it's used in other instances as a much better catch all. You currently try to hard to force a company in a place they will never be found or only found by accident - that's not good for anybody.
It would be great if you had the option to attach a file to the vendors that you "book" to allow a central place to store all contracts, photos, payment schedules, etc.
Even though I have booked my venue and photographer (and listed them as booked in my vendor manager), I still get suggestions for venues and photographers on my homepage. It would be nice and helpful to have suggestions for vendors I have not yet booked and to no longer see suggestions for vendors I am absolutely not interested in.
It would be helpful for wedding planners and wedding couples to know that wedding dance ideas and lessons should be made at least 3 months before wedding date. This will avoid any confusions and stress when they do start.

Since most vendors have you pay a deposit, some make you pay 50% at a certain date, and there is another date that the vendors bill is due in full...since each wedding requires multiple vendors this can get complicated easily! I would love to have a calendar or reminder list of when vendor payments are coming due and how much i owe to help me budget and stay on top of my planning!
Tip etiquette would also be helpful if it was available in this section and you can set up what amount and when you need the vendor's tip by.

Agreed - Yes please! Looks like Wedding Wire's to do list does have this ability...
Currently on The Knot's checklist,I see "buy my dress," but none of the lead up options like "begin dress shopping" "narrow down choices" etc. which I appreciated about The Knot's to do list for other decisions like venue.
Please allow the option for users to input custom, "write in your own" items on the checklist so we can use your checklist exclusively.
I also agree with this! There are some things I want to add that yo don't have. For example you have one for "schedule engagement photos" but not one for actually taking them, or the prep work for the engagement photos ie. getting hair/nails done. Choosing an outfit etc.
I could not agree with this more! It would be amazing to be able to add custom line items in the checklist. As an example there are already several line items that say "Make a list of reception items" or "Make a list of gifts", etc. but then there is nowhere to actually make that list and check it off within the same tool? Please add this feature!!!
I want to be able to list my hair stylist and my makeup artist in separate vendor tabs. Right now I have both names squished into one text box and I can only put contact info for one.
This! I'm having my wedding at home and a lot of the checklist is obsolete because of this. Additionally, we have many things to do that aren't on the checklist because of this for example landscaping. Would really love to add my own items to the checklist. It seems like a really simple thing that any checklist feature should have.
Before the checklist is populated, it would be awesome to have an option to choose an all-inclusive wedding or ala carte and then have the checklist broken down that way. My fiance and I have chosen an all-inclusive wedding and reception space which has everything from the wait staff to the catering all the way down to the photographer, officiant and more. So when adding for the budget and checking off the checklist, it gets a little confusing since many of the things listed are part of my ceremony and reception space as opposed to ala carte.
I would love for there to be an option or a box to check if someone bought something for you. For instance, My Aunt bought my wedding dress, but there is no way to fix that on the budgeter.
PLEASE allow custom to-do items to the checklist! I have a list of items for my church wedding that are not included in any of the optional items, requiring me to keep a separate checklist.

In our Wedding Vendor Manager (when accessed through a desktop computer), there is no way to delete an unnecessary slot from the "Needed" list. (i.e. We neither have nor need a 'Wedding Travel Agent,' but there is no way to remove this position from our Needed list.
