Send digital invitations directly from the Knot
HI, I want to be able to send e- invites directly from the knot. Sure my parents and grandparents might like a physical invite but lets be real, my friends are all going to throw them away. I'd rather be able to send digital invites but don't want to go to ANOTHER third party website to send the invites and then direct them here to RSVP. especially since most of them have their own RSVP feature.
Hi and thank you so much for your idea!
We will definitely take this into consideration. We’re always trying to improve the Wedding Website experience for couples so we welcome all of your great ideas.
We will keep this forum updated as we make improvements!
Enjoy your planning!
Extremely disappointed to have spent hours perfecting my wedding website to only find out I can not directly send digital invitations through the website!!! What is the point in having an RSVP section if you cannot even send the online invitation? Please fix this by February, as this is when my invitations are set to go out. Otherwise I will have to use another site!
Yeah, isn't this kind of the whole reason that we spent all this time building the guest list on theknot? We thought you guys would then manage sending save the dates and invitations, whether electronic or printed. Feels like a half baked feature now.
Yes, please allow to send invites from the knot- it would make everything so much more seamless. I would pay a fee to be able to do that!

I also think this is a great idea and was hoping that this feature has been added by now? If it has - would it be possible to get an explanation of how?
This has cost my fiancé hours and hours of useless time! Why would we have wasted hours of time adding all of our guests info to find out you can’t click a button and send the invitations? We sent an invite to ourselves to see what others would see and none of our pictures were included and none of the buttons for food preferences and RSVP for our after party! They don’t have anyone who actually answers the phones and you can’t leave a voicemail after hours or on the weekend! My god what a racket! NEVER USE THE KNOT for anything! How is this even legal?
It's been almost two year and still no invite feature?!
I concur with this! I am having to utilize a third party for digital invitations and they have their own rsvp section that will be confusing.
Hey guys, it's almost 2020, this seems like a pretty basic feature to add... would drive more clicks and to be honest I believe most people would be happy to pay for it.
Wouldn't it make sense for you to just partner with Paperless Post and integrate the RSVP's via an API? They indicate that you can match the theme of their invite with the website. Solving your evite problem through partnership would seem like a much smarter way to go!
When can this be added? It's almost end of the year! My wedding is on January next year
Would really like to see this feature added. I get financially you don't want to. But I would be okay paying per text message or email. Seriously save more more time then $$$ Or I can go with a different service.....

Is The Knot ready for e-invites. I need to know if i continue with the site or look for something more 2020 style, #climatechange
If you send out invite reminders which is email, they can actually accept or decline the invite
How could such a function not exist yet? I just spent all the time uploading my guest information thinking I can send the emails directly.
+1 for this feature idea
wow - i echo the comments below - i feel mislead by the fact that this isn't actually a feature of the website, I had to use the 'share' feature described in other comments above... and noting i am commenting on this issue more than a year later from the initial comments above... weak sauce the knot, weak sauce!
I figured out how to send e-invites...but only via email. Once you have your guests and their email addresses loaded, go to "Dashboard", then "Wedding Website" and then "Share" which is at the bottom left of the screen.
If you are going to text, I would suggested copying the link to text.

ABSOLUTELY F*ING RIDICULOUS!!
You accept all our intellectual property (database) then you DON'T allow us to use it!!
Isn't this one-sided usury (stealing)?
Keyword "trying". You are not trying at all. This is the 21st Century.
Do you know we can actually email from our phones these day??? Gesh!
Incredible waste of time. So I just gave you all my friends and family data... this should be illegal.
Dear The Knot,
As a manager of a business, I get pushing the paper invite business to keep it alive and keep your vendors happy. However, it is 2019, and as someone with a global family, the electronic invites are needed for both convenience and to make sure our families have invites in time to apply for tourist visas to the US. I hope you add this feature to keep yourselves relevant, as I have enjoyed the other features of the site; however, we will need to move our site elsewhere in order to provide the best experience for our guests.
