Add Text Alignment to Wedding Websites
Currently, most of our Wedding Website designs are not offering the ability to align text in a custom fashion. We would love to hear from our Couples that are designing their sites about this feature. Let us know if you enjoy having the alignment decided for you or if you still see a need for us to allow this customization. We need your feedback.
Thank you for taking time to give your feedback.
Please bring back the ability to center text on the website. It is very unprofessional to give absolutely no notice of this feature being taken away. I am frustrated with the way my text looks. I understand you are trying to make sure it looks best on both a desktop and mobile phone, but in my opinion it looks absolutely awful since you've changed it to not allow us to align text. If I had known this was going to happen, I would not have selected the knot to use as my wedding website. My website looks messy and sloppy in my opinion since I now cannot center certain text and I am disappointed.
100% should be allowed to customize my text and how it appears on my website! Half of my event descriptions are centered and the Ceremony/Reception is justified left. It looks awful. :( Unlike many others, I have not sent out my save the date and now think I will use a different company for my website.
So upset about this change! I spent so much time designing the site, and now it looks terrible. I would honestly leave the Knot and create a website through another vendor because of this, but I can't because I already got our web address printed on the Save the Dates! Not happy :( Please bring this option back!!!
Please bring back the ability bold text, align it, and space it how we want. Your response to my email inquiry about this topic made no sense since eliminating this option had the opposite effect that you intended - now both the mobile and desktop pages look bad. At least take the options to bold, align, italicize, etc. off the editing box if the features are not available. Very frustrating!
Custom HTML is why we use the knot. Without it, you are no better than any other wedding website builder. We will no longer use your platform
BRING BACK CUSTOMIZATION FOR EDITING TEXT ON THE WEBSITE. It is very important to highlight important text for guests who like to skim information.
This was a horrible idea to remove the ability to center or align text. I had designed my website in advance to look a certain way and now it does not have the desired look with things being off-centered. I have already sent the link out to my guests so changing now would be inconvenient to do, but it something I'm considering since this is not the look I was going for. I really would like to know if they will fix this issue.
My wedding is in less than a month. My RSVP deadline is this week so all of my guests have been visiting my website the past few days as they are RSVPing through the knot. My site looked so nice up until now, and looks JANK with random paragraphs and sections not being centered with the rest of the text on the page. SO disappointed as I put a lot of time and effort into making our page look nice. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!
I have to agree with everyone's comments on this thread. The removal of the centre text option has affected the design of my website. Its very disappointing - 12 wks out from my wedding so to late to change to a different provider. Could you please fix, or re-add the option to centre text.
This is a horrible idea. Taking out the option to changing the alignment of our text makes it look unfinished and unprofessional. I honestly regret choosing my wedding website to be theknot since they've made so many changes.
Can we please get an update on when this feature will be back???

I hate this update - it's inconvenient and totally messed up my wedding website. If I knew this would happen, I would not have made my wedding website on The Knot or ordered my invitations w/ a link to the site. In addition, there was no notice of this feature being removed whatsoever. Please fix this immediately.
Please, please add this feature back! my website looks terrible! I already ordered our Save the Dates with this website on them so I really need it to work and look nice! Please help!

This is a terrible feature.
Please allow me to customize my own text by letting me center it, bold it, italicize it, etc however I want to. It looks so dumb now.

I can't center my text for the main event!!! (The other ones works fine with the Edit button, but "The Wedding" can't be fixed)
They took that out after the update or something?
The old version seems to work find for me.
I am so disappointed and upset by this change. Like many others, most of my website is centered and now parts that I add are left aligned and it looks horrible. I literally just ordered my invitations with the knot website printed on them and I am having regrets. A few months ago, the knot's platform looked great and was so customizable. Now I wish I went with another website builder and will certainly not be recommending the knot to others. This is not something I am proud for my guests to see when they come to this page to RSVP for my wedding. BRING THE ALIGNMENT BACK!
All of the other pages have alignment editor tools except for the wedding and other events. I think it looks fine on mobile and desktop centered. I would love if all the pages could be edited the same way like how it currently is for the other website pages.
I am not sure why this is not working properly. But the alignment is off and looks a mess. You should allow for customization or for at least have someone on hand who can help make the alignment look better.
Please give us the option to align our text again. Most of my webpage is "center" but there is a section that I have no control over moving back to the "center." It is currently stuck on the "left" side.
Hi, I think you should absolutely add the ability to customize text alignment back into your wedding websites. My whole site is center aligned, but if I want to add in any extra notes or information, that is left aligned. I only need to use a simple <center></center> HTML tag and it would be fixed. I don't see why it was necessary to take this function out.

This new change has made my wedding website look so unprofessional and sloppy. It looks horrible on both mobile and desktop applications. We need the ability to customize the alignment of the wedding website! The fact that this was taken away is completely unacceptable!
