      This is a great idea and we are very close to making this much more accessible for you. Right now you can print the checklist like you would print any webpage, using the print feature on your browser.

    • I would like to be able to add comments to my Checklist items

      I would like to be able to add comments to my Checklist items, and perhaps you could build in some suggested comments to add. For example, when I check off Book Reception Venue, I would like to add a comment for the name of the venue, address, website, contact, etc. That information could be fed into other areas of my account so that it is easily accessible.

      I would also like to be able to add/edit items on the Checklist. For example, I am not having my engagement party until later on in my engagement, so I would like to…

        This is a common request and we are truly working on how you can manage your checklist (and budgeter) to make it more personalized. This will eventually include the ability for you to add your own items and comments to keep track of your notes.

        Keep watching! I know they are still in the design phase, but it is coming.

      • Guest List "parties" and Seating Chart

        I'm sorry, but this new website rollout has to be one of the worst managed transitions I have ever seen - taking what is already stressful for most of us to a whole new level! Whoever walked into a staff meeting and said, hey ya'll I have a great idea, let's take a good thing and completely ruin it!...should be forced to spend 10 minutes with us disgruntled brides/grooms...and then they should be fired. I spent hours having to completely rebuild my website that I had already spent a ton of time working on, and I would have left theknot…

          I really appreciate you taking time to send this feedback. We have heard from quite a few members some of the same struggles you have expressed here. We are working on bringing back some of the features that were most loved and used. I will say that the reason some were not on the first edition of the new guest list manager is that they were not used by many of our members (like the seating chart).

          But, we do hear your frustration and are working on how we can bring some of this function back. It is going to take some time, but it is being worked on now.

          Thanks for sharing your frustration. We appreciate that you are already planning a wedding and need less stress in all these other areas.

        • Budgeter

          I love the Budgeter but two things:
          1) I had to create my own excel spreadsheet based on the Budgeter because some items I was overbudget and other items I was underbudget - so I need to calculate how much in total I was over/under.
          2) I think it would be great if you could find local vendors based on the budget. For example, my photographer budget is around $2K so I think it would be great if we could click on Photographers and it would take us to photographers that are within $2K budget.

          • New budgeter is confusing and misleading

            I cannot stand the new budgeter page where they have now "married" your checklist, to-do and budgeting.
            I can no longer see all the allocated expense items on one page, but instead have to click on each item individually to enter 1) what I have spent and 2) what is allocated.
            I am VERY concerned that this update is going to cause me to make mistakes/overspend in the wrong places... and the confusion alone I am dealing with right now is adding to my stress.
            PLEASE when you do something like this, leave an option for members to revert to…

              We really appreciate all of you reaching out to share your feedback over the new Checklist/Budgeter merged feature. We know that all change brings, well, change. And we are definitely listening to your experiences and suggestions as we move forward. The Product Design team is reviewing all incoming feedback and they are planning the 2017 upgrades and improvements with your desires in mind. We might not be able to go back and give you back the old tool or some of the older features, but we really hope that we we all move forward together you will find this new budgeter, in with the checklist, will work very well for your event.

              Please do keep us posted on any other feedback – good and constructive – that you have. We always want to know what our members think about the products we offer on our site.

            • Alphabetical sorting

              And before we start, I know there are at least 2 other tickets mentioning this, but since there no change (one ticket from August 2014), I assume you guys totally neglect this part.

              The guest list manager is unusable as it can't sort (I'm not even gonna start on the performance of this, the manager is so slow), filter people out, etc. How am I supposed to maintain a list of 90+ people without any form of filter or sorting? I'll give you an example:

                Hi and thanks so much for writing in! We 100% review the feedback on this forum. The Product teams here are considering all of the user feedback we’ve received. Unfortunately, some changes are slower to be developed than others.

                We will be making improvements to the Guest List Manager soon and the improvements will address the sorting issues you are referencing.

                There is a dropdown at the top of the Guest List called “All of Our Wedding Guests” that allows sorting by Invitations, RSVPs, and Gifts & Thank you Notes that can be very helpful in the mean time.

                I would love it if when you hit for your wedding website to not show up in google search it would actually work. I think better privacy settings would greatly be appreciated.

                  Thanks for your feedback. We continue to work with Google, as the main search source, to see how this process can be faster. Right now they still tell us it takes 7-28 days for items to be removed once populated on their sites. I am glad you took time to send this over as it does help us in our quest to get this done as fast as possible for our members.

                • RSVP - ability to include party size when someone RSVPs vs individual names

                  When inviting families, I do not sometimes want to know the individual names (for example kids). I just need to know how many adults and how many kids will be attending - counts only. For large families it becomes quite cumbersome to type out each individuals name (and essentially I don't care..). Is there a way of indicating, under RSVP settings, whether I want a count (adults and kids) vs individual RSVP (the way the site functions currently). Then under guest list manager, I just want to see a column (or couple) for the counts.

                  • Editing Due Dates on Checklist

                    It would be wonderful if we were able to add items, and also change the due dates on pre-existing items. For example, due to scheduling my bridal showers won't be until a month before my wedding, but the checklist tells me that it needs to be completed a few months before. It's not a huge deal or anything, it would just really improve the tool!

                    • More Custom Pages!

                      We need more than just 2 custom pages! I added my own pages because layout is important to me and your layout options are extremely limiting. I want to add a page for Key Members (my officiant and our parents) but now I can't! At least let member make 4 custom pages especially since there are so many complaints regarding layout options/errors/problems.

                      • Editing font (add underline functionality) within text boxes for descriptions

                        For wedding website editing/creation, please add the ability to change the font and font size of the text within the text boxes for descriptions. From what I can tell you can only make text bold or italicized and change the alignment. Why isn't underline an option?

                        I'm not requesting to change the font of headers, sub-headers, overall theme of the website, etc. When you have the text box of a description open it only allows you to bold or italicize your text, so why aren't there more options here like underlining certain points, modifying the font and font size, creating…

                        • Budget Tool and Seating Chart

                          I'm not on board with the new budget tool/checklist/vendor list. The layout is very confusing, particularly with the budget tool. I wish there were a way to input the actual amount spent, and if it it less than recommended, the extra money not spent could be redistributed to a different category(ies) of my choice. I also use WeddingWire, and I really like their budget tool because it is set up that way, but I'm not crazy about the layout of their wedding websites/guest list manager.                           • It's weird that registry partners automatically give The Knot registry information

                            I get that it might be convenient for Knot users to have their registries automatically added to The Knot, but it would be really nice if it's something where you very visibly opt-in, rather than having it be a default. It feels invasive and, frankly, a bit creepy.

All of our registry partners put this information in a different place to let members know they are going to publicly share your information with The Knot. We are working with each partner to make sure this is clear moving forward. We are also looking at how we can make this more private even when it is shared with us so you, as the member, can opt in when you choose.

                              I think that on the budgeter you should have 3 columns.

                              Column 1: The Knot's recommended budget based upon your total budget. This way people can have an idea of where they should be spending money. This column wouldn't change from what you guys already have and I found it super helpful when I was first making my budget because I had no idea of where I wanted my money to go!

                                I'd like to see another RSVP option for site admins to add choices to the section. For example, if a guest wants beer instead of wine or vice versa, they can choose it in the RSVP and furthermore, it gives the site admin an idea of how much of what to get. Same thing with food. If someone chooses vegetarian over meat, I'd like to see that option.

                                • [Guest List Manager] Zip Codes don't export with guest address information.

                                  I thought it was wonderful that suggested addresses popped up when entering my guests into the Guest List Manager. But it wasn't so wonderful to export the list and discover there were no zip codes included. So now I have to go back and enter those again. It really makes the address finder feature useless.

                                      I've never seen more vitriolic, self-important Brides anywhere else on the web than here on the Knot, spitting "expertise" at BRIDES who are in fact (for a number of reasons-- military, immigration, health, etc) finishing paperwork prior to the official ceremony. I find it disgusting and shocking that the Knot supports such exclusive, "mean girl attitudes" in a billion dollar industry where MANY brides are now having to do just that-- get the legality squared away before the sentimentality can occur.                                         I really appreciate you taking time to send over your thoughts and frustrations. While I am not familiar with the exact forum board you are referring to, I do understand that some of our boards are still a work in progress. We have made great strides this year to make sure our members are using the report button when they see things that are inappropriate or something that might violate our terms of service. It sounds like you are describing situations and user replies that might fall into that category.

                                        We are trying to make sure the forum boards are open to all viewpoints, but if it has been pushed too far, please do report the action and we can at least investigate to make sure there are no violations in play.

                                          We are continuing to work on our Guest List Manager. The A/B feature was honestly one that wasn’t used by many members in the older version, so it wasn’t a priority to bring it forward. We have instead put in Party Leaders so you can sort your guests by either who they are coming with or by bride/groom, etc.

                                          All that to say – We are listening to feedback on the Guest List Manager to make some additional improvements in 2016. I appreciate you sending this over.

                                          Please add the functionality to add more than one photo under a section instead of using the photo album under the Photos section. People are less likely to go through your several photo albums on a wedding website, I would rather just add a couple of photos to the applicable section. We should at least be able to sandwich the section's text with photos.
