  1. Wedding Location V. Your Actual Location

    Hi there- I think it would be a great idea to add an option for Brides to say not only where their wedding will be located but also where they are actually based. For example, my wedding is in Vermont and all my recommendations for vendors are there but this limits my ability to see where the best places for dress shopping etc. are where I actually live in MA!

    • Wedding Timeline Critiques

      I'm enjoying your Wedding Day Timeline tool. But there are some issues w/ it. It would be nice to remove items (or perhaps change their titles) such as "drop off welcome bags at hotel".

      I would also like to be able to schedule things for two brides w/out having to refer to one of them as a groom. Or be able to refer to male members of our wedding/bridal party without referring to them as "groomsmen".

        • Can we please work on fixing the phone app? I hate that I spent hundreds of dollars on engagement photos only to have them be stretched out.

          First of all, I don't like the newest layout of the phone app. I liked having the photo and countdown all right there when you first open it. It's a bit more of a downer when you open the app and immediately see how much money you're dumping into the wedding. What if I'm logging in just to see the countdown? Anywho, that's not my main issue. When uploading a cover photo, it has me crop the image so that it's a square. However no matter what when you're done it's stretched out. This makes your app look very cheap…

            • Additional post-wedding checklist items

              I used the checklist while planning my wedding and it was a helpful resource during the planning process. However, I found the post-wedding checklist items to be incredibly lacking. There was plenty of information about changing your name (which I didn't do!) and the other items (preserving your wedding gown, reviewing vendors) are fine suggestions but not really necessary. The checklist fails to mention important things like health insurance -- most health plans only give you 30 days from your wedding date to add a spouse. More practical options would be appreciated!

                • There needs to be a search bar for guest list

                  Please include a search bar in the guest management app. If I am trying to look for a specific guest, I do not want to scroll through them all and try to find one. I'd like to be able to type in the name to find it.

                  • Streamlined search results

                    I understand that companies pay to be featured, and that has to be carried out for those users. However, I am simply searching for my vendors in Greenville, SC, but when I search I have to sift through tons of vendors all the way in Charleston, SC which is not close by. It's very frustrating when I'm simply trying to provide feedback to my vendors, and have trouble locating them on your website.

                    • Checklist for more than one year

                      I'm planning my wedding 2 years in advance (it's in 2019) so when viewing my checklist, it only shows things to-do in the 12 months before our date. However for months that pass this year (ex. September 2017) it says they're past due. This is frustrating because they really aren't past due yet. Please make an edit so the checklist has years with each month.

                      • I'm unhappy with my photo being stretched on the desk top version, but fine on the phone version. Please use the same proportions for both!

                        Please use the same proportion for the main photos between the desktop version (super stretched out - width wise) and the phone version. Or allow us to upload a "banner" type photo along with a main photo. I don't like to see myself and my fiance all stretched out like that!

                        • Separate dates for Ceremony & Reception

                          We're having our Ceremony a few months ahead of our "reception" party. It'd be great if I could put in those distinct dates, so that the Due dates on my events were lined up properly.
                          Currently, I'm having to set to the early date, make a manual note of the ceremony-oriented items, and their due dates. Then update to the Reception date (most of the tasks are for the reception), and then go back in and back-date the Ceremony tasks to their true earlier due date.

                          • Customized background graphics :)

                            Can not complain because the site is amazing and it is FREE which is this brides favorite word! However, I did hire a Graphic Artist to do the artwork for my wedding invites (used tapa which is part of our Samoan culture) and would have loved to have used the graphics as a customized background theme. Would’ve been great to just resize and upload the graphics! Perhaps in the future, but maybe not in my bridal term lol apart from that great stuff! Thank you for making everything so easy!

                              Hi,

                              Just a suggestion – as things move more and more toward technology, it's important that we do not forget the older generation. As a young person, I want to use technology and I feel that if you can sign onto FB, then you can sign onto The Knot. However, many people are used to paper invites with all the information. If The Knot and other wedding websites are pushing for paperless invites and more use of their site, there needs to be flexibility when it comes to communicating with guests.                                 I am definitely with you on this one. We want to make sure each couple has the ability to message their guests as often as they need, knowing that some guests will need more and others less reminders along the way.

                                When you are in the admin page for your wedding website you are given the opportunity to send an email to your guests. You can enter their email address and send out any note you choose. You can pick one or all of the email addresses you have in your guest list, and this way you can control how often each guest gets a message from you and the details they need for your event.

                                It sounds like we need to make this feature more visible and maybe a bit more intuitive – so thank you for calling this out. I will be sure to let the Product Team…

                              • Destination wedding checklist timeline

                                The checklist planning tool is very helpful, but the timeline is off for a destination wedding. For example, save the dates need to be sent earlier to give people time to book flights. It would be great if there was a destination option that would automatically adjust the timing for the average destination wedding.

                                  I love this! We are always looking for ways we can improve our checklist experience and hearing from you is just perfect. I have already passed along this suggestion to our Ultimate Planner team and they will definitely look at how we can make this a goal for the future. And not just for destination weddings, but we likely need to change the scope for those that are eloping or having more than one ceremony/reception site.

                                  Collecting and Inputting 250+ people's addresses has become my top stressor in planning my wedding. Here are some ideas on how The Knot can improve their services:
                                  1) Allow all members of one household to be entered in the same window.

                                      We really appreciate each of you reporting this issue. The Address Collector now does receive line 1 of the address again. You may find line 2 is duplicated – we are still working on this part. But the information you need is included in the email notification and in your Guest List Manager for you.

                                    • Add dropdown menu personalization

                                      I love that you can hide or show or even add any pages to your website under "Manage Pages." However, I wish you could somehow personalize the dropdown menu that automatically is pulled down when you scroll over any page link at the top. For example, I have a registry page on my website and I wish it had no dropdown menu. I have a specific note that I want all my visitors to read at the top of the page, but nobody sees that because they don't click on "Registry."                                       • Consistency across platforms

                                        Managing my guest list with both the website and the mobile app has been a challenge since some features work differently online and on the app. Example: "+1" vs "Plus One" Grouping house holds and adding multiple people in the app is much more clear than on the web page.

                                        • Knot DB/UI Updates

                                          Whatever updates you are making behind the scenes are being implemented too quickly and before proper testing has been done. Your app and website is almost unusable at times giving so many errors. Also you are phasing out old UI's and replacing them with new versions that have half of the capability.

                                          When people begin to lose faith in your services you will start to lose your user base. These are peoples weddings, they are stressful enough without having to worry about a site you sent 100's of your guests a link to....

                                            I really am glad you took the time to send us a note. We are definitely making some great changes around here – all the time – and yet, we want our product to work well for everyone. I can tell you, as you have likely guessed, the error you sent over will be fixed when you clear your cache/cookies. As someone working on their wedding website, you the Admin, are going to run into this much more often than a guest will when they just visit your website URL.

                                            I always suggest to our couples that they clear cache/cookies weekly when in the busy time of planning their wedding. While this might seem like a lot, it will keep the pages clear and clean for you. I also would want to suggest that you use one browser brand for your Admin work and another browser brand to test…
