  1. Website Admin Page Not Loading - Can't Create Website

    We are sorry so many of you are having problems on the site this weekend with the wedding website admin page and/or with creating a wedding website. Our Tech team has been notified and we are looking forward to a quick fix being pushed out early this week. (Not a joke, we promise.)

  2. Have an option for us that requires our guests to enter their email, phone, and/or address

    Can we have the option that requires our guests to enter their email, address, or/and phone number in order to RSVP?

    It looks like someone who we don't know submitted an RSVP and we have no way of contacting them; also, we would like our guest's address/phone number/email in case we need to contact them.

    We have made great efforts to make sure our RSVP tool is going to work for our members and for your events. There are a few things to keep in mind before you set up your website with your RSVP enabled. Let’s go through these together:
    Secure RSVP vs Open RSVP:
    Secure RSVP gives you a privacy option that will ONLY ALLOW NAMED GUESTS to RSVP on your wedding website. You will need to add all names to your Guest List Manager, and the guest will have to type in their name exactly as you have it listed. For example: If you enter Michael Rogers as a guest and he tries to RSVP as Mike Rogers, he will get an error.   3. Anthropologie is not showing registry photos

    Our Tech team is aware of the issue with Anthropologie's registry items not displaying properly on both your wedding website and stand alone registry pages. We are working with the retailer to implement a fix as quickly as possible. We are sorry for the inconvenience!

    Your guests can still click through to see your full registry at the retailer directly and as soon as a fix is in place, the photos will again showing on our pages as well.

  4. Virus

    Hi,
    I've noticed today that every time I log onto my wedding website or theknot.com account, I am continuously getting pop-ups from my antivirus software that a "BitCoin Miner" is trying to attack my hard-drive, from your website. I would get your software people to look into that if I were you! It's not good!

    We truly appreciate you calling this out yesterday and letting us know that you received a malware alert while visiting our site. Some of our users, like yourself, were affected by a malware incident that occurred on the weekend of March 10th. Our tech team acted quickly to investigate and resolved the situation. Our initial investigation found no indication that customer privacy or security was compromised in any way. You can continue using our site and all of our services. If you haven’t done so already, we recommend that you clear your cache/cookies to get rid of the scripts that may have been running when you first visited our page yesterday. We have found that most anti-virus programs on your devices have likely cleared this already​, but doing another cache/cookie clearing is always a good step.

  6. Website Creation bug.... WHY ISNT IT AUTO SAVE

    There needs to be an auto save feature when writing in the different sections of the wedding website. It is extremely easy to delete paragraphs of details, stories etc. that have all been neatly compiled.

    I have lost so much work today because I HIGHLIGHTED the text, and poof, text box and hours of work just gone..

    Other option is to have a note on the website creation page, to write all of your information in a different space and copy paste it into the text boxes.

    Just a heads up for busy brides like me! Write it down elsewhere…

    Great news! Our Website team was able to push the update on the wedding websites just last week. Now when you are typing a story or updating your information, the system will no longer allow you to exit without saving or cancelling. It will require you to take action. This helps keep the great wording you already have in place in the story just for you!

  7. Wedding party categories

    I already sent an email to customer support but never heard anything back. I have flower boys but they can only be listed as flower girls on my wedding website. Your own description of wedding parties on your website lists them as “flower children”. Can this be made available on the wedding websites we create? I want to put my nephews on my website but don’t think it’s fair to call them “flower girls”. Please help!

    Under wedding party, there isn’t an option to set someone’s role as a junior bridesmaid. I was wondering if that could be added to the list? Thanks!

    It's trash that you give people the ability to donate to the garbage heap that is the National Right to Life Coalition and not anything that provides support for people seeking abortion.

    Also, Planned Parenthood doesn't sell fetal body parts, you absolute troglodyte.

    I was looking through the charities, and I have to say that I was honestly really disappointed to see Planned Parenthood among the organizations that The Knot donates to.     I really appreciate you taking the time to reach out on this very sensitive topic. I hope you found that our list of charities does list a variety of worthy groups that meet the desires and needs of a large cross section of our couples that use our site. I do appreciate you have concerns on this charity provider being pro-choice, and other members may have concerns on charities that may support pro-life movements as well. We want to make sure we are open to all couples, no matter where they land on these very important issues.

    Your feedback is being heard, I do promise you this. However, for now this charity provider will remain on our site as our 2018 selections have been established. We will revisit all of our charities for the 2019 year and we will make sure this feedback is part of that discussion.

  12. "Are you sure you want to exit from this page" Option on wedding website

    I just spent over an hour writing all of the painfully detailed instructions for our destination wedding on the "Accommodations" section of our wedding website and apparently I accidentally clicked off of the editing box that I was working from and now all of my work has disappeared.

    I just died a little inside because it took me so long to assemble all the information and now it's gone. I can't go back, there is no recover button, I didn't even get a warning that I was about to exit the editing box without saving my work before it all…

    We really appreciate you reaching out about this article. It was removed from our site on 1/24/18 after we did see a few comments related to this piece. It was an older piece that had not been reviewed in a long while and our editors did agree it was not something that we wanted to keep up and posted.

    We will look forward to a fresh, up to date article being posted in the future that is much more contemporary and not offensive to any part of the wedding couple.

    On the wedding party section. There is a Man of Honor position, however, there is no Best Woman position. I chose my sister to be my Best Woman, and I'd like to put her on our wedding party section as such.

    We have a great page on your wedding website called Guest Book – but this can be renamed and used to collect songs (or other fun ideas for any reception). Many of our guests have used this to get the music ideas flowing in from their guests.

  16. Put a summary/highlight area under the newlywed fund

    Provide the option to put a summary/highlight area that the bride and groom can write a blurb about their newlywed fund. We'd like to use our newlywed fund as a honeymoon fund but don't currently have the opportunity to explain what our honeymoon is about. Having the ability to give a description would be nice.

    Thank you for sending this over. When you set up each fund in Newlywed Fund you are able to give the details about why you have that fund set up and give your guests more details on the fun adventures you are planning to have.

    It sounds like you were hoping the blurb would be seen before they enter each fund – is that correct? I will be sure the Newlywed Fund team knows that is a request.

  18. Bed Bath and Beyond says I have not added items to my registry?

    I have both registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Target and have added about 30 items to each. Target is showing my items on my registry, but Bed Bath and Beyond is saying I have not added any items when I am on the setting of my registry (on the Knot website) and therefore do not show the items when I am on my website, they are only showing Targets?

  19. Delete Guests in bulk

    I uploaded a an updated list thinking it would overwrite my old one. No i have over 400 guests and my only option is to delete them one by one. Make a button to delete the entire list or be able to select more than guest and delete in bulk.

  20. Couple Knot Wedding Website Editing

    Both my fiance and I created Knot accounts. I've been tracking almost everything on my account, but he took charge of putting together the wedding website (which is already printed on the invitations at this point, even if they haven't been sent yet). I'd like to be able to link our accounts so we both have access to the website editing features, so when I want to update a menu item or something I don't have to get him to log in and do it!

    Thank you for being a valued member of The Knot – The Nest – The Bump!

    Currently, our accounts are only able to have one login email account. We trust that if you want to share the planning information with your co-registrant you will be able to share your email and password information with them as well.

    As a note – some of our members have created a ‘wedding only’ email account so they don’t clutter up their regular inbox during the wedding planning process. This might be a great option to think about so you can both have access to the incoming emails and the account information. If you do create a new email address (gmail and hotmail are great for this), you can then log into your account and go to Account Settings/Account Management to change your email address on your current account.
