  1. Why does the checklist include "change your name"?

    While the checklist is helpful, I found it frustrating (and a bit presumptuous) that you would include "change your name" as a checklist item. I'm not passing judgment either way but there are plenty of couples that don't follow this practice. By including it, the website looks like it's taking a stance on this topic.

    Alternatively, you could have a questionnaire that a couple fills out upon signing up where you flat-out ask about name changes. Then you could include this item in the checklist for those couples that plan to change names.

    We really appreciate you taking time to send in this suggestion. The checklist is intended, as you likely see, to be a list that will encompass more tasks than one couple is ever going to truly need. We definitely know that the differences between each couple will create a need for different items and priorities.

    That being said, the suggestion to have the name change as part of our onboarding questions is a great one. I have passed this along to our Checklist team and we will definitely look at this. Until then, we hope that couples will continue to move items they don’t need off their lists, and add other items to their list from our full list when they do choose.

  2. Change the website

    I do not like the new website. It looks unfinished and too minimal. Please go back to the old site or update this new one. Also please update your mobile app. I deleted it after 1 month because it did not do anything. In todays society everyone likes to have that access via the phone so I think updating your app would make your website more useful.

  3. Option to Eliminate Dropdown when Hover Over Pages

    Allow users to eliminate the drop-down that appears when users hover over a page. For example, I have a note to my guests in my registry page that I would like them to read before seeing where I have registered. When you hover over registry, the link to the registry pops up, so I'd expect people to click on that directly, rather than go to the registry page which has my note.

  4. More access to view completed address forms.

    I have around 250 guests on my list (many of them children) and I have already found the address forms very useful. However, when people fill out the form, I only have that brief moment before accepting that information to see it. I didn't think about that and accepted some replies on my phone while out, hoping to come back home and review them. it took me over an hour to find the 2 replies because I had to search through every guest to remember who sent the information back in case I need to pass it on.   5. Discontinuing Use

    Hello,

    My fiance and I recently signed up to use your website as a helpful guide to planning our wedding. After going through several of the different guides and tools, we realized that there are no services tailored to an LGBTQ wedding. It is quite unfortunate that you have decided not to include our community in your services. It became most obvious when we were looking at cake toppers and noticed that you do not have a single wedding cake topper for same *** couples.

    We are very sorry to see you go. We definitely are continuing to update our site and the features offered to be more inclusive and also give you the option to personalize your wedding website and information for any type of wedding.

    We are also working with the vendor that manages TheKnotShop.com for us on their product selections. While you may have found that some of the cake toppers were bride/groom specific, we also offer a wide range of inclusive toppers that are not people related. It sounds like you were looking for two men or two women as the options available, and again, we are working on adding this in the future.     List your address and location with directions from major cities to your location. Show on map quest. I can find an address any where.

  7. Decor Designer/Room Sketcher

    Being able to have a blue print/sketcher to actually draw the dimensions of the floor and place the tables in and tablecloths and table runners and centerpieces to see your reception and/or ceremony venue come to life before you purchase everything and then not like it

    This is a great idea. We are continuing to work on a seating chart for our guest list manager, but I agree that being able to see the colors and decor would be lovely. I will be sure to pass along your comments to our product designers for them to take into consideration in the future.

  8. I really liked the layout of the previous version of the budgeter. The new version is confusing because it's hard to see the expenses list

    I do not like the new version of the budgeter. It is confusing to figure out the expenses in a quick and concise manner. It also would be nice to have a feature that states the expected budget, the total amount you owe, and how much you have already paid/how much you still owe.

  9. Updating ring search to include more styles/gems/eliminate types of gems

    So I realized your searching options are highly limited in terms of looking for rings. I absolutely despise diamonds and would love to have a category to filter those out. Additionally, I think a theme or style search would be great (IE: modern, simple, multi-gem, no gem, open, flexible, classic etc...)

  11. Equality

    I understand historical a marriage has been between a man and a woman. However times or evolving and I find it very disappointing that The Knot has little to no representation of LGBTQ+ weddings. I ordered the book and everything is labeled as "Bride and Groom". I should have listened to other LGBTQ+ friends who decided to not use your website or book for this reason. You need to be inclusive and consider updating your website and book in order to include all. Its disappointing to say the least.

    Newlywed fund is buggy.

    in order to get to the confirmation screen after entering the amount you want to gift you have to click the button. if you simply hit "Enter" or "Return" it wont proceed to the confirmation screen, leading several of my guests to become confused and believe it wasn't working at all. this needs to be fixed. bug is present on desktop and mobile.

  13. RSVP streamlined

    I find that entering data for RSVP is tedious. Unfortunately our websheet is not compatable with your websheet otherwise I would have imported it. It would be much simpler if when entering a couple, I could at the same time select their RSVP for the events. Instead I need to save and close, then go back to each individual person to add their RSVP event selections. I haven't done their meal selections yet, but I'm assuming I might have to do the same for this too.

  14. For The Knot App - Website editing

    I did not see a way to add a website page or a way to add a photo of the wedding party members while using The Knot mobile app. I was only able to from a desktop computer. I thought it would be a good addition to have this available on the app as well.

    Its hard to track on the inquiries would be great if you could mark someone as having an appointment and then also have a reason for archiving too like booked, out of budget, not responding, scam etc

  17. Add a section for cultural brides

    Please add a section by state for cultural brides. It's very difficult to find vendors who understand unique cultures, and there is a couple in Dallas who own a video/photography company who have scammed many Eritrean and Ethiopian brides internationally. Their reviews on The Knot do not match the experience of most of the brides I know. It's been a huge disservice to the brides and their families.   18. Why does it take 30 days to remove websIte from search engine. Change default to private. What a joke.

    Why is someone's wedding plans default to public. For general public to search it. Invasion of privacy. Should change default to private. And have to click to make it public to search engines.

  19. Disability Inclusive

    Articles including tips and ideas for disabled brides and grooms would be incredibly helpful. As someone who is not able bodied, wedding planning has been stressful from can I wear a full length dress, what if I have to use my walker down the aisle, to what if my energy won't last the entire day. I know I can't be the only one. Including disabilities from having Autism, being deaf or blind, along with physical and other mental disabilities would be great.

  20. new website less intuative

    Your new website builder seems less intuitive than the previous one for both creator and user. The scroll down page instead of a sidebar is rather irritating as well as how much less control you have over page creation and layout. As someone who has used other website builders I think I will move to a platform that allows more freedom.
