Customize wedding website
I wish we had the option to customize our wedding website. I found a template that goes alright with our wedding theme, however I would love to be able to remove the border that goes around the photos or at least change the colour. I love how easy it is to create a wedding website with The Knot, but being able to customize it would make it even better! Thanks!
Hi and thank you so much for your idea!
We will definitely take this into consideration. We’re always trying to improve the Wedding Website experience for couples so we welcome all of your great ideas.
We will keep this forum updated as we make improvements!
Enjoy your planning!
Any updates on these inquiries? Would love some font editing options! And to be able to make albums for the photos instead of a running page
Add the ability to customize websites more in the form of:
- changing to different font types, sizes, colours
- adding insert table options
- adding questionnaire/form options with answers that can be given through free text, dropdown list choice, multiple choice (select all that apply), etc similiar to the RSVP functions in withjoy.com

Love what you all have so far, very easy to use, but too basic for someone who wants a bit more. The wedding website needs more customizable features, like being able to change the font. I picked a layout that I love, but I really dislike the pre-set font. It would be great if this could be customized to fit people's style better. Maybe have an a basic template for not techy people, and an advanced, more customized template for tech people. I'd love to be able to move text where I want, like on Google Docs or any other website builder. On my sight, it has the countdown covering my face on our photo and I can't change that no matter what picture I chose. It just looks sloppy.
Second, why can't we add custom categories for the budgeter? Every wedding and budget is different. People should be able to add their own expense options, like how you can add your own items to the check list. I want to add my wedding dress and alterations to my budgeter, but there's not an option for that. I think both of these changes would really help set the Knot even further above other wedding planning sites.

Yes, I agree! I honestly am not too excited about any of the templates. If only I could change the font, color and position of the text, it would be great!
You now have at least 3 separate threads expressing the same difficulties with the current dashboard functionality. Don't you think it's time to make some changes???
Summarizing all three post:
The vendor banners need to be moved to the bottom when vendors have already been selected. I mean I'm 50 days from my wedding and I have to scroll through Venues, Photographers, Caterers, Florists, even before I get to my guest list?
Don't wait until our weddings our over. Help us out with this now...
I second this. I like the themes, but nothing really that really feels "ME". I hope you're still considering this for improvement. Thanks.
Is there a way for the guests to add comments as they are putting in their contact information. This is especially critical as there will be only one address per family but with different names. Instead of entering the address many times, they should have the ability to enter once and list all the guests as comments. Please respond.

I agree- it says I have the font set to a certain font and color but that is not how it looks on the website. I also set it to be multiple pages with links from the home page but that did not take either. It also randomly filled in info about my wedding venue that I did not add. I expect more. Especially when I paid money for the domain.
is it possible to customize the RSVP section so that I can add in a option for guests to respond if they require transport to the wedding venue.
Agreed on this - even just being able to add some overriding CSS would be great. For instance, on our wedding website our descriptions for various items are brief. That makes every Theme look very awkward by default, because the Titles and addresses are centered but the text is left aligned. If I could add in a couple lines of CSS to force everything to be left aligned, it'd look a lot better.
