International guests & Newlywed funds
I highly suggest looking into options for international guests -instead of being US centric only- for the newlywed funds, or clearly mark upfront that it is not an option for couples having international guests attending. It turns out you can only contribute to the funds with US credit cards, which makes it unusable in our case. I only wish we would have known that before and looked for alternatives. While I can understand that our linked account, to which the funds go, needs to be a US account, I am totally baffled that guests cannot contribute internationally. Please look into that as I am sure we are not the only couple on here with guests from overseas ;)

We have just realized this same issue as well. Our wedding is in 10 days and we are scrambling to figure out another solution.
If anyone from the knot programming division is watching this thread, what if any updates have you made since 10/15/18 where you said "we're always trying to improve the wedding website experience". An update would sure be nice. The site is well done regarding user friendly ways. But this is a pretty big black eye regarding registries.
@TheKnot - you're really missing a trick by not allowing countries other than the US to link bank accounts! This seems way behind the curve.

It is really frustrating not beingable to use the full function of the website - particularily as the register is a great function. I want guests to be able to use this. I have my own stripe account, can I link that rather than the Knot processing the payment through their account?

I just sent a very similar request (should have read this first). I am in Canada so I don't have a US bank account but it would be so nice to have a Honeyfund. Even the store registries don't seem to work because they take me to the US site anyways. The Knot is owned by the Canadian site Wedding Wire, it would be nice if they were more Canadian friendly!
I completely agree. I also have international guests coming to my U.S wedding and I did not know this until really having to search and read through everything. I am very disappointed. Still trying to figure out how to link a different Honeymoon funds link that accept international cards to my the knot website since the website is ALREADY on my invitations and save the dates. So frustrating. Not happy with this situation and with the knot AT ALL.
It would be really beneficial to have other currencies available within the registry especially the GBP. The Knot is one of the best wedding websites I found that includes a registry where you can stipulate an amount to go towards the Honeymoon fund but it only facilitates $. Is this something that could become available?

Agree - I live abroad and cannot buy a gift for my sister's wedding because you don't take Visa, MasterCard or any other international payment method just because it was not issued in the US? It's 2018??
How do you suggest I buy my sister a gift from her registry?
Just to clarify, we currently live in the US, our wedding is in the US but we have international guests attending. Any last minute suggestions are welcome as we had no idea until now since we had no problems setting up the fund with our US account. The wedding is in less than 3 weeks.
