Guest Accommodations - Duplicated on Wedding Website
So many of you have already reached out regarding the appearance of duplication of your Guest Accommodations - Thank you for taking the time to let us know your feedback and what you are seeing on your website.
We recently made a change to the Accommodations page on Wedding Websites based on feedback we received from other couples and guests that they were having a hard time locating where to find the hotel accommodations in the scope of the website. Currently, you will see we are testing a few ways to make this more visible on websites for your guests. This does include including Accommodations on their own tab AND in the details tab on your website. Unfortunately, there is not an option to customize this feature to appear under just one tab. If you do not have any need to add hotel accommodations, you can hide this tab under the accommodations section on your wedding website.
We would love to hear your feedback so we can pass this along to our Website Tech team as they look at how this feature is being used by your guests. Ultimately, your feedback will play a big part in how we move forward with this testing and our website design. Feel free to leave your feedback here or email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you - again - for reaching out.
Customer Experience Team
You’ve shared your feedback and we hear you – truly. After conversations with the Product Lead over our wedding website development, we have been assured that this team is working through the possible solutions to adjust and improve the appearance and function of the accommodations/ details tabs on your wedding websites.
The goal is still to create one specific area to manage your guest accommodations while still having some ability to personalize this feature. With this in mind, the Tech team knows that the biggest ask coming from our Couples is that there should not be any duplicate information appearing on the website under multiple tabs.
While we will not be rolling this back to how it was before and we know that many of you still frustrated that your site is going to appear a bit different than when you originally published the site, we do want to be sure any future updates offer a viable solution for our couples while still creating an easy to use experience for your guests.
As soon as we get an expected date of release for future updates, we will post them again here on the forum.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. And thank you – so much – for your constructive feedback. This is a passionate group of members and we are definitely listening and hearing what you have to say.
I look forward to circling back on this again with you soon.

This was not fixed- both pages now show the exact same information and I cannot change it without making them both disappear unfortunately!

I've very confused cause this was not fixed. I still have two tabs (accommodations and details) with the same information. This is extremely frustrating.
Not fixed. I now have 2 tabs that are exactly the same, but titled differently [Accommodations, Guest Information (formerly "Details")]. Also, Accommodations don't even show up in the dropdown menu for Guest Information, yet it's still listed on the actual page when you click on the tab.
I wanted it (and already had it) as Guest Information, with Accommodations listed under this tab. ONE tab for all. What. Is. This. Even having 2 tabs would be fine, but only if each tab actually listed ONLY accommodations under one and other details in the other. Please fix. I can't send out save the dates until this is fixed!
Still not fixed. Even though my hotels section now doesn't appear as a title under the Details tab, all of the hotels content is still there. The Knot somehow made this even worse!
I simply want the option to have a hotels tab OR have the hotels show up under Details. This is ridiculous!
Still not resolved - I can't have the info under my details tab, where I SPECIFICALLY PURCHASED STATIONARY DIRECTING MY GUESTS TO, without having it duplicated in the guest accommodations tab as well, and I can't hide the guest accommodations tab without hiding the accommodations on the details page. What a joke, you're trying to tell people that it's fixed without doing anything.
Thinking you guys seriously messed up with this "experiment". Things were perfectly fine before you duplicated the accommodations tab. We liked it right where it was, under the details tab. Now, we don't have that option anymore. Nor are we able to choose where the accommodations tab is on our website, as it's not listed under "manage pages".
This is one of several issues we have had, including the date of our wedding being changed multiple times. Can you believe that?! The date of our wedding, changed by itself to an incorrect date! Multiple times. Recommending my engaged friends to use Zola from here on out.
Thank you so much for resolving - it looks great! Love the prompt attention and great customer service as well as keeping us updated!!
I'd like to also mention that I tried to hide each, but neither worked. (Example: I tried to hide the accommodations from the details tab, but then the entire accommodations TAB disappeared.)
I am having the same issue as people below. Although the title "Guest Accommodations" is removed from the details tab, the two tabs are still linked and all the information is still duplicated both on the Guest Accommodations tab and the Details tab. This issue is still not fixed. If there is a separate Guest Accommodation tab, then it should not be attached to the details tab or the information at all.
Unfortunately, it is not fixed on my website. Now, accommodations AND transportation shows up twice in both tabs.
Not fixed. Only the sub-tab accommodations name got removed. Everything else is still duplicated. I would hope this can go back to how it was originally. I thought it was perfect!
Even though you don’t see the guest accommodations option under details anymore, you still see it when scrolling down from your other details sections. Like guest accommodations is still below my things to do.

It is not fixed. My details still shows the exact same page as my guest accommodations tab.
Instead of having your tech team fix it, have your design team take care of it. Usability is the selling point of your website, and your 'fix' is a hack at best.
I've already worked around this issue by manually recreating an Accommodations page at the top level of my wedding site. I have the hidden the default Guest Accommodations page. I'm fine with whatever you do so long as it doesn't involve deleting the new Accommodations page I created.
This is absolutely ridiculous! My website looks like I messed up and added this twice..

The very least you can do is provide the option to choose which layout we'd prefer for those of us whose sites are ALREADY LIVE.
Absolutely disgusting that you can’t come up with a better fix and you’re blowing off customer service complaints. What a joke. We’ve spent significant amounts of money on invites and inserts directing people to specific tabs on our website, which is now thrown off by this wretched idea. Seriously regretting using the knot for my website right now.
This is a complete and total joke and my website now looks like a bunch of incompetent people put it together since things are duplicated. I guess that's not far off since the knot is clearly super incompetent, because anyone with half a brain would know that this is a horrid idea!

Yes! Please fix this - it is redundant and unnecessary
