Guest Accommodations - Duplicated on Wedding Website
So many of you have already reached out regarding the appearance of duplication of your Guest Accommodations - Thank you for taking the time to let us know your feedback and what you are seeing on your website.
We recently made a change to the Accommodations page on Wedding Websites based on feedback we received from other couples and guests that they were having a hard time locating where to find the hotel accommodations in the scope of the website. Currently, you will see we are testing a few ways to make this more visible on websites for your guests. This does include including Accommodations on their own tab AND in the details tab on your website. Unfortunately, there is not an option to customize this feature to appear under just one tab. If you do not have any need to add hotel accommodations, you can hide this tab under the accommodations section on your wedding website.
We would love to hear your feedback so we can pass this along to our Website Tech team as they look at how this feature is being used by your guests. Ultimately, your feedback will play a big part in how we move forward with this testing and our website design. You’ve shared your feedback and we hear you – truly. After conversations with the Product Lead over our wedding website development, we have been assured that this team is working through the possible solutions to adjust and improve the appearance and function of the accommodations/ details tabs on your wedding websites.
The goal is still to create one specific area to manage your guest accommodations while still having some ability to personalize this feature. With this in mind, the Tech team knows that the biggest ask coming from our Couples is that there should not be any duplicate information appearing on the website under multiple tabs.
While we will not be rolling this back to how it was before and we know that many of you still frustrated that your site is going to appear a bit different than when you originally published the site, we do want to be sure any future updates offer a viable solution for our couples while still creating an easy to use experience for your guests.
As soon as we get an expected date of release for future updates, we will post them again here on the forum.

This is ridiculous. Given that I’m about 2 weeks from sending out my save the dates, I’m thinking about moving to a different platform if this isn’t fixed. It makes me look like an idiot to my friends and family.
This has been incredibly confusing for both myself and my guests, and it makes me look incompetent as a bride and wedding planner. I don't have the option to change platforms anymore as our save-the-dates and invitations have both gone out. I find it completely ridiculous that a powerhouse like the Knot can't find a fix for this. I expected much better.

WHAT IS TAKING YOU SO LONG TO FIX THIS?! As many have said, we've all spent hours and hours perfecting our site only for you to make us look like fools. This is so incredibly disheartening and sad for those of us who have recommended you to our families and friends and who have sent out our wedding materials with this site on them. Make it an option for people to have it as their own tab or under the details and leave it be.
I've emailed them and I'm waiting for a response. Everyone, please contact support too. The more people speak up, the more likely it'll get changed. The "contact support" link is on the right side.
I do not understand why people could not simply create a major tab for accommodations on their own. The current "solution" is not acceptable. Will The Knot continue to make unannounced design changes to websites that have already been posted? If so, I'll be changing platforms, because I cannot watch the website every day making sure that the website I designed is still as I left it. I've put hours of work in to my wedding website and, while it will be difficult to switch platforms, at least I can be assured that a different company will not make sudden, irreversible changes that ruin the look of the website and clutter my design.
I disagree with this solution and it makes it look like user error.
Your “fix” is making me look like an idiot. Don’t make your users look or feel stupid. Don’t force navigation changes on existing live sites that some people worked on for weeks or months to perfect.

I reiterate the previous comments that the change that The Knot describes as a "fix" actually looks like an error at worst and a redundancy at best - neither of which is good. Please amend this so accommodations appear in only ONE place on the website - duplication only causes confusion and looks like a mistake. Thank you for listening to and accommodating user feedback.
The same page appears twice now.
I agree that this is an untenable solution.
This is not a fix at all.
This new "fix" looks like I have a mistake on my website because the two exact pages show up next to each other. Also, now all my tabs at the top are split between two lines and people are missing the additional tabs because I cannot remove the separate "guest accommodations" option. We should be able to decide if we want it as its own tab or together with details as it was before. This should not be the standard layout. It was not this way a week ago and now I cannot change my wedding website page as I want it. I will be looking at deleting my knot website account and going with another company who is more customizable.

Agree with all the comments that this is a bad update, makes our website look like it has a bug. Genuinely don't understand how some couples/guests could not locate the accommodation section on their website!

Has anyone found a solution to this problem or do we have to keep both headings?
