Guest Accommodations - Duplicated on Wedding Website
So many of you have already reached out regarding the appearance of duplication of your Guest Accommodations - Thank you for taking the time to let us know your feedback and what you are seeing on your website.
We recently made a change to the Accommodations page on Wedding Websites based on feedback we received from other couples and guests that they were having a hard time locating where to find the hotel accommodations in the scope of the website. Currently, you will see we are testing a few ways to make this more visible on websites for your guests. This does include including Accommodations on their own tab AND in the details tab on your website. Unfortunately, there is not an option to customize this feature to appear under just one tab. If you do not have any need to add hotel accommodations, you can hide this tab under the accommodations section on your wedding website.
We would love to hear your feedback so we can pass this along to our Website Tech team as they look at how this feature is being used by your guests. Ultimately, your feedback will play a big part in how we move forward with this testing and our website design. Feel free to leave your feedback here or email us directly at email@example.com.
Thank you - again - for reaching out.
Customer Experience Team
You’ve shared your feedback and we hear you – truly. After conversations with the Product Lead over our wedding website development, we have been assured that this team is working through the possible solutions to adjust and improve the appearance and function of the accommodations/ details tabs on your wedding websites.
The goal is still to create one specific area to manage your guest accommodations while still having some ability to personalize this feature. With this in mind, the Tech team knows that the biggest ask coming from our Couples is that there should not be any duplicate information appearing on the website under multiple tabs.
While we will not be rolling this back to how it was before and we know that many of you still frustrated that your site is going to appear a bit different than when you originally published the site, we do want to be sure any future updates offer a viable solution for our couples while still creating an easy to use experience for your guests.
As soon as we get an expected date of release for future updates, we will post them again here on the forum.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. And thank you – so much – for your constructive feedback. This is a passionate group of members and we are definitely listening and hearing what you have to say.
I look forward to circling back on this again with you soon.
This "fix" is terrible. It looks like I've made a mistake on my website by redundantly duplicating details. Not only did the "Guest Accommodations" part migrate over to its own tab in addition to appearing under "Details", but another section I had added under "Details" that has nothing to do with accommodations is also appearing under the new "Guest Accommodations" tab. I had the website looking exactly as I wanted it, and as my guests will be receiving their invitations this week this is very distressing.
I think the best fix would be to make "Guest Accommodations" its own tab and remove it from the "Details" tab entirely. This would also assist those people that were, for some reason, having a hard time finding hotel accommodations on the website. Certainly these people must be in the minority, I don't know how you could miss it.
We hate this idea - there are 2 tabs - "Accommodation" and "Details" that have the EXACT same content. This is completely pointless and confusing. We carefully arranged our website as we wanted it and all of a sudden everything looks completely different.
This change absolutely sucks. I thought I had accidentally changed something on my website to make it look the way it does with the extra tab so I ended up deleting a whole bunch of information under the Guest Accommodations tab that, in turn, was also deleted under the Details tab. Now I have to find all of that hotel information again to re-enter. Such an unnecessary headache while I'm trying to plan my wedding!
Same issue! Please respond and help!
Super stupid and unnecessary change! @TheKnot, please change it to the way it was before! This doesn't make any sense...
"Guest Accommodations" suddenly showing up as one of main site sections (but we don't have option to edit/see under "Manage Pages")
This is incorrectly duplicated as info. already included under "Details" as intended. There are few great wedding site offerings, and we put our trust with your team. Please help revert back.
Same issue as Jacob. "Guest Accommodations" suddenly showing up as one of main site sections (but cannot edit/see under "Manage Pages") and not supposed to be there.
This is incorrectly duplicated as info. already included under "Details" as intended. Checked on Feb. 16 and saw issue. Feb. 17 issue remains. Please help revert back.

I agree with everyone that showing the accommodations twice is a bad idea and makes it look like there is a mistake on the page. Please allow us to edit this feature.
CHANGE IT BACK!!! I can't figure out how to keep Accommodations posted without it being listed TWICE! It looks awful. And that there isn't an easy edit/customize is AWFUL!

Bad fix. This makes the website look really clumsy. I would not recommend this platform to others.
SAME HERE! I sent in a support ticket with no response, can someone please assist!
This is unacceptable. This is a simple coding fix. Please remove the duplication.
Having the same issue. Everything was working before, but now our "Hotels" section is appearing as BOTH its own tab and nested under "Details."
Agreed. Having it twice is making our site look cluttered and making us look foolish.
We added a section stay the night and it is duplicating under Hotels. We only want to have one of "Hotels" or Stay the Night" with a link to hotels so our guests can book but we are unable to only make one visible. Please respond and help
Please remove this. It's confusing and unnecessary.
Please, please correct this. I've had guest express confusion and question if my "Details" content is missing because the same info is showing under "Accommodations." Instead of duplicating Accommodations, and making the site appear broken and tacky, simply give people the OPTION to put Accommodations as a page in the main navigation OR as a subpage under Details. Kind regards.
This change to the website's format make it seem clumsy and broken. I'm concerned now with the duplicated information that guests will skip over other vital details once they see a repeat in website content. I think having it either on its own page entirely, or on the Details page without the additional header lays it out in a much cleaner way.
And/or need a PLACE where can provide description for guests without it appearing on our webpage at (Guest) Accomodations tab??
I totally agree with you...was under Details, now has it's own tab...ugh!
