Add Text Alignment to Wedding Websites
Currently, most of our Wedding Website designs are not offering the ability to align text in a custom fashion. We would love to hear from our Couples that are designing their sites about this feature. Let us know if you enjoy having the alignment decided for you or if you still see a need for us to allow this customization. We need your feedback.
Thank you for taking time to give your feedback.
Please add this feature back in. My website doesn't look as polished. There was information I had centered and bolded and now it doesn't look professional at all.
I am on board with everyone else. I am incredibly frustrated with The Knot. I am seriously regretting not going with another site.
Bring it back. Customization is key for any digital interface. This has been going on for months. Ridiculous.

I used to be able to add <p style="text-align:left;" to make the text paragraph aligned to the left, and not centered. But now it's not working. I have 2 events on the homepage and the 2nd one is not letting me insert this html code.
Can you please fix this?
I have this code:
<p style="text-align:left;">Thank you to everyone who sent us your dinner selections, dinner is going to be AMAZING.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Wanted to give everyone a heads up about the driving/parking situation at Wayfare Tavern and what you do when you arrive. Since Wayfare Tavern is in the financial district, there’s actually quite a bit of street parking near the restaurant. If you can’t find a spot on a street, we recommend the following parking garages: </p>
<p style="text-align:left;">550 Kearny Garage (0.11 miles away from Wayfare Tavern)</p>
Address: 665 Sacramento St
<p style="text-align:left;">Le Meridien Hotel Valet Garage (0.16 miles away from Wayfare Tavern)</p>
Address: 425 Clay St
<p style="text-align:left;">When you arrive, please enter in the main entrance and check in with the host. The host will guide you to the Sequoia room located on the 4th floor.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Having you with us on our special day is the only gift we want; but if you want to give us an actual “gift,” please feel free to donate to our Cash registry here on our website. We will also gladly take a paper check if you’re old school ;)</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">We look forward to seeing you very soon!</p>

but it still produces the text centered and without paragraph breaks
We're trying to add additional detail to the main page of our website and the additional text is flush left, but ALL the other text is centered. It looks stupid, we look stupid, The Knot looks stupid. Please fix.
It definitely needs to be added back, my website looks ridiculous now with part of the alignment to the left and some to the centre. Please bring back the option to customise!
The text formatting is atrocious. This dysfunctionality shouldn't be happening in a modern website creator.
I went in to adjust the ******** hour and reception times from my description as we are about to send out our invitations and now everything is centered except for these two little but very important details. Now without the center align it looks out of place and unprofessional. I have spent hours making this page easy for guests to find information and that will give a taste of our wedding. I am very upset and disappointed that this was taken away but also that it was done so without notice. We chose to use the knot for all of the customization options and the ease of use, but whatever update that has been ran since has made this awful to use.
I'll second basically every comment on here and say why in the world would you not be able to change the alignment of the text? My guests are going to receive invites soon and now my website is not how I want to present it. It needs to come back asap
It needs to be added back. If it's not broke, don't fix it.
PLEASE bring this feature back - I just sent out my wedding invitations (which contain our knot website) and really wish that my website looks as it did when I had originally made it (with centered text!!).
I feel strongly that this option should be available on the templates.
Or at least, have all the content on the templates be the same justification. If everything else is centered and something like the Event Description isn’t, it looks bad and unprofessional.
Agree with the comments that this is such a mistake. There are varying degrees of skill-level in website design for your customers and assuming the least common denominator creates a sub-par, copy&paste vibe around these websites.
In my particular instance I had spent time formatting certain sections to make it clear what days and times events were. With the program change all the formatting was lost and created a jumble of words all tied together. I had to go back through and edit, now with just spaces to break dates/time apart, all left justified. It looks like an ugly word doc, not something the Knot would want to be selling.
Getting rid of this function was a terrible idea. And why is it only certain sections that won't let you center align things? While multiple of the detail sections allow for text to be center aligned, the wedding ceremony/reception section does not. It makes the front page of the site look completely off. I'll be switching over to Zola if this isn't fixed soon.
I'd like the function back to change our headings (bold, italics, center). It made everything look much better and cleaner and I find it looks quite messy now without. It's hard to find important information, which I spent hours organizing and formatting when I originally created our website. There was no notice when it got taken away and I spent a very long time trying to mess around with the site to get it back.
I would 100% like the ability to center text on our page. It makes everything look cleaner and more cohesive!

I changed a '5' to a '4' on the Event Description section my website and lost the ability to center the text, as well as my embedded map in this section.
Customization is important. In what world would you expect a customer to want LESS control over their page? If we had not already paid for the domain name (or if we could free it up regardless of cost), we would be scrapping our website and making it elsewhere.

Agreed, please help us align our text to the center on our wedding page! We just sent out our save-the-dates with our respective websites
What a horrible "update." Please bring back the ability to center align text. My reception details look completely out of wack with the rest of the text that defaults to center align.
When I made my wedding website on the Knot a few months ago, I immensely enjoyed being able to center the text - it made my site look much cleaner and sharper. I am very disappointed that this feature is no longer available and I REALLY hope that this feature gets brought back.
