Ability to embed video to wedding website
I would love to be able to directly embed our engagement video to the website (similar to the way photos can be uploaded directly, if we could directly upload a video).
I don't want to link to youtube or anything like that as I only want to show the video to people with our website access.
This would be an amazing feature - I know lots of couples have engagement/wedding videos to share!
Hi and thank you so much for your idea!
We will definitely take this into consideration. We’re always trying to improve the Wedding Website experience for couples so we welcome all of your great ideas.
We will keep this forum updated as we make improvements!
Enjoy your planning!

If you upload your video on YouTube then go to share and copy the embed code. Then I copy and pasted right into our wedding story.
Huge +1 to the suggestion to enable (1) Video files to be embedded and/or (2) HTML. I had built my weding website on the Knot and was planning to upload a livestream link (due to COVID lots of Weddings are shifting to a virtual format). I'd like everything to be housed within our website to ensure a better user experience. As this is not a feature on the knot, I'll be shifting to another platform (such as Weebly, Wordpress, etc.,) that allows for it.
Would have been great to utilize your service!
Has this improvement been implemented to the website?
Has this been addressed? I cannot find the function to add a video, only photos.
Anyone know if this ever got updated?
Has this issue been resolved? I would like to have my wedding embedded into my website to avoid sending a ton of people a link to watch...
You'd think this feature would already exist, as it's a basic feature on really any "build-your-own-site" thing. With so many people livestreaming private ceremonies these days, I hope The Knot is working to make this possible asap.
We plan on streaming via YouTube and I'd like to just embed the stream, but it seems I'll just have to send everyone a link, which means they likely won't go to our wedding site where we have photos, our story, registry, and updates on the postponed reception.
May as well find a new platform for the wedding site!
I would like this as well. I might change my wedding website based on this. Does anyone know what wedding websites do allow video?
I would just appreciate the ability to add a link, this is the only wedding website that does not allow any way to upload a video or a video link
This use to be a setting that we use to have. I use to have my video playing on my wedding website but now it no longer works. Why don’t they fix this problem if a lot of people are complaining. Can you please fix this problem as soon as possible.
I agree, they need to fix this ASAP, I am able to copy and paste a youtube link, video pop ups before saving but when I click save and try to view it on the website video those not show up.
I’d like to post my wedding video for family and friends to see that weren’t able to attend due to COVID. Any updates on when this feature will be available?
I would love to be able to do this as it seems all weddings are now live-streamed because of covid.
I also want to add a video of the very small ceremony we just had. We needed to postpone our reception a full year. When can we upload videos?
when is the eta of this being added?

please hurry..we have a video that we want to put up too, for our family's wedding knot site.
I've also been having this problem. It's June 7 and I've been waiting for this feature to be added back up for a while now since we would have to postpone our wedding until next year. When can we embed videos so our guests can be notified? Is there an estimated time when they will add the feature back on again or when it will be fixed? Once work starts picking up to be more busy, I wouldn't have time to work on the website so I hope this gets sorted quick. Please let us know.
I’m waiting on this feature as well! Please, please, please add it! Thanks!!

This is actually wild that you don't have an easy feature to add a video to a new page or use one as the main landing screen. You'd think in 2020 all website creators would just automatically have that provided for you easily. But to not even be able to embed it at this point is really behind the times. I wanted to update our guests with having an update video on the landing page essentially telling them the wedding is changed to family only due to covid but can't seem to do that.

Hello, Is there any update on this? We have to alert our guests of our date change and our video is the preferred method. Thank you for your timely response.
