[General] I'd like to see better privacy settings for my information.
My idea is that if i sign ip with "the knot" i only want the knot to do what was intended. Just sign up to where i have chosen to register, and show me possible vendors. This does not mean to have our names plastered on all sesrch engines, with a wedding dste attached, things happen. Not upset at that, because we are still together, not ste date yet. Is a matter of principal and PRIVACY that is huge in our families. Thank you!! Not all of us enjoy to be on the public eye.
It’s been a long time coming but one thing we’ve done to help ensure privacy of your wedding website is added a “hide from search results” option to Wedding Websites Settings.

Thanks for your patience!
I thought that the only way for guests to view my wedding website through TheKnot was to give them the link directly. I never wanted my wedding website in search engines or for any person not invited to be able to view it. How can I fix this? This is a very important matter to me. I do not want to have to delete this website and create a new one with a different company.
Yeah that "hide from search results" doesn't work. My name and my fiance's name were as of today 12/4/19 plastered on google's search results and I deleted my account as a result. The link itself had my full name and my husband's full name on it. Good grief.
Hi... I just saw that many of my wedding photos have been uploaded.. somehow to my wedding website through the knot. I never did this. The title of the album is "The Wedding!" which is not what I would have written. And the cover picture is of my sister. Obviously, I did not do this, nor did anyone have my permission to make an album of photos that are just on my computer... do you have access to my computer??? WTF is happening. Explain yourself theknot.com... NOW
Ya cheaters like to keep there info hidden...
Hello, I am struggling with the same thing. I only just realized there is a privacy setting - it is not very conspicuous. I'm very disappointed that my site has been posted for months now. This is a private event that I don't want out on the internet. I would not have used this site had I known this would happen.

This setting mentioned above doesn't help. I have been trying to get my website off search engines for three solid months! There is no privacy on The Knot. Beware!
Despite setting my visibility settings properly, adding a password, and choosing every possible privacy setting, my (incorrect) information is still the top result in Google and is discoverable through the couple search interface. Why give us these misleading options if they don't actually mean anything? This is a false and deceptive practice.
We are still waiting on an answer for this! I did not sign up with this website to have my personal information on the internet. I opted not to have search engines look my info up but to know they can still type in my name and month and find out when and where is a violation!
Don't you have an option to make the event 100% private to the public?! I don't want people not invited to my event to have the ability to even look it up! There are people I do not want to even be able to see my event on your website at all. i'm going to have to delete my account now if there is no option to keep the event 100% private.
I can't believe I wasted my time with this and there's no privacy guaranteed other that the stupid guest pin. People can still look you up and see the date even if they can't see the details. There's nothing private about that at all.
I need everything about my wedding private and now I see I have pictures appearing under a simple good search along with registry and wedding date information. This is a terrible violation of privacy and knowing it will take 30 days to resolve does not help. This is about SAFETY concerns as well. Some people need to remain private for safety reasons, and now all of our information is there for the world to see.
I feel as though it's a real violation of privacy to aggregate people's registries without their permission. Stumbling onto your list of my registries on google by accident really gets under my skin. Then having to go through a bunch of steps to opt-out is a pain. Finally I "think" I succeed in opting out only hit confirm in the email, and then am brought to a screen asking why I'm opting out. I select "I do not want my registries on search engines" and put some text in the description box and then that doesn't work - clearly you don't REALLY want the feedback or you'd make sure that bug is fixed. Selling ad dollars the the expense of someone else's privacy is a shame.

FYI it still isn't working...
This needs to be available for baby registries as well.
YES - I had no idea my wedding was being broadcast around the world to all my clients. THIS IS NOT GOOD.

It is TRULY inconvenient to have a wedding website made public by default and with no chance to hide it -at least not an easily accessible menu to do this.
Please share instructions on how to hide wedding URLs so that not anyone with our names will find the wedding details on search engines.
Let me start off by saying that I love The Knot. I have done so much already and everything is coming along with the help of The Knot. The only thing that bothers me is that I haven't shared my website or my registry with anybody yet because it's not ready and my wedding isn't until 8 months from now and my registry was already put out by The Knot for the whole world to see.
When we first planned for our wedding we were going for a November wedding and I had started the wedding and registry then, that is now online. We ended up moving the wedding to February to give us more and I had continued the registry, that is now online. SOOOOO…. Now I have 2 websites showing on Google. This makes me want to stop using the wedsite all together for putting something out there without me having a choice.
I would prefer having the option upfront to exclude my ENTIRE wedding site including registry from search results. When I created my page I thought my wedding website was excluded from search results because I made it private and password protected but I discovered, much to my horror, my registry page on google search results for my name along with the location and date of my wedding. My wedding was very private due to the nature of both my work and my finance's career.
I'm very upset right now because when I provided my last name when I registered I had no idea it would be used that way. There is also a link from the registry page to my website. It is still password protected but I still don't like that all of the privacy I wanted to maintain is now blown.
